NUTRITION PROJECT STARTED MANUALLY 2006 AND BY MACHINE 2009

WIA’s creche was initially started with CSWB’s assistance and as an extension Nutrition Project was started.
Around  1500 children in creche (in and around Chennai) are provided supplementary nutrition.
Dr.Jayam Subramaniyam.  Pediatrician and a consultant to the UNICEF initiated WIA to start this Nutrition Project.
Mr.Srinivasan, General  Manager , State Bank of India , mobilized and gave Rs.3,78,35.00 for purchasing Machinery and vehicle.
Nutrition powder is out of ragi, kambu, puffed Bengal gram and duly certified by King institute at Guindy.  WIA also prepared a booklet of recipe through the help of the Balasevikas.
