Counselling

The programme was introduced by the Central Social Welfare Board. The WIA taking advantage to Help women encountering problems in married life has approached the organizations and got financial Sanction for starting the Family Counselling Centre. The Programme was implemented first at Nehru Nagar Madar Sangam one of the branches of WIA at Chromepet. Then it was shifted to WIA premises in the Year 1987. This programme includes two counselors with MSW with counselling specialization, one Assistant and a peon are provided under the programme. The member incharge of the programme is Ms.Bhavatharini, Advocate. The WIA taking advantage of the legal aid board when they announced That they will assist counselling centre with legal clinic. The Legal clinic was introduced at WIA in December 2007. The legal aid board sends a lady advocate on every Saturday at 2.00 p.m. for free Consultation by the Public on the issues they face. The Advocate is changed every two months by The legal aid board
